Labels and markings

1. What MarzPass is

MarzPass is a student card platform for schools in Uganda. It lets families:

• Issue a physical student card at school registration
• Parents send campus money from USSD or the web
• Pay at the canteen, shop, and campus till

2. How we label activity

Balances and history are labelled so parents and students can tell them apart:

• Spendable — money on the card for canteen and shop
• Top-up — money a parent sent, including any sending fee
• Frozen — a lost card that cannot spend or receive money

3. Messages and notices

SMS and portal notices come from the school’s MarzPass account. They cover card issue, top-ups, spends, freezes, and replacement cards. Report a misleading message at support@marzpass.com.

4. Age and school use

Student cards are issued through a school. Parents manage money and card control. Students use the card and, where the school allows it, a student portal.
